I know the bible only made reference to WIVES only in,

Ephesians 5:22,
"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord".

But as ladies in courtship or preparing to go into courtship someday, this is also referring to us.

Submission is the charm that can activate love in any relationship, even in marriage. It is the act of accepting or yielding to a superior force or to the will or authority of another person.
In other words, it is you being under the authority of your partner who is the superior by God and Man's standard.

I have heard and seen a lot of ladies who do say that they can never be submissive to their partner because they aren't married yet, that the partner will make a fool out of them when they become submissive. So until they are married they will be.

If he is not your husband yet and you cannot submit to him then you don't respect or honour him.
Besides a good man who is Gods will for you will never take you for granted when you are submissive to him. In fact he will love to keep you and love you more.

So no matter how sophisticated, richer in salary, famous, tongue speaking or demons chasing spiritual sister that we are and we happen not to be submissive to our partner then we will get it wrong in courtship.

Also, being submissive is not a sign to show that we are weaker vessels, it is us being virtuous and the good thing the bible talked about that a man should find when he finds us.

Therefore, it is very important for us to know that submission starts from courtship and with that also in our marriages it will build healthy godly homes and free from the devils plans to destroy the home.
