BEFORE WALKING DOWN THE AISLE.

There's so much blessing in your single season! I look back at my single season and I'm so glad I maximized my single season and was not preoccupied about marriage and what the next phase would be. Your single season has several phases in it, more like a progression moving from one stage to another. So, Its all about having the right perspective, understanding that you only have this season once in a lifetime and what you do with it would greatly determine what would be obtainable in your next phase.

The Word says,
"To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven".
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Life is in phases and seasons. God in his wisdom has made it so and he operates by process. This simply means that God has a purpose for your single season.
He has alot of things He needs you to accomplish even while single ie friendships/relationships to be made, assignments to be fulfilled, etc. This is also a time to invest in discovering yourself, understanding God's purpose for you and developing skills that would be relevant for the days ahead.

Right now as a Mom of two amazing boys, a wife to the Sweetest husband, a creative Director with other responsibilities that keep on growing and increasing, I can gladly say that there were trainings and processes I went through while single that prepared me and increased my capacity for this phase of my life, handling all that I handle now effectively by the grace of God.

Your single season is the best opportunity you have to prepare yourself, Spirit, Soul and body for the journey ahead. Love yourself enough to invest in yourself. You wouldn't want to show up in the next phase of your life unprepared so please remember that your single season is a blessing and the foundation for the next.

THE REWARDS OF BEING SEXUALLY PURE ARE SIMPLY PHENOMENAL.

By the grace of God, I was able to keep myself till I got married to my husband. I wouldn't say it was entirely easy, but God really helped me and my husband. So I understand this journey. An understanding of my purpose, the word of God and the gains of living a sexually pure life were anchors. Even married couples are required to stay sexually pure by remaining faithful to their spouse.
God instructs that you honor Him with your body and being sexually pure is not just about abstaining from sexual activities but also refraining from dwelling on such thoughts. Its goes deeper to affect our relationship with God and assignment.

By living a sexually pure life;
• You experience peace,
• Have a clear mind,
• Fresh passion to pursue and focus on your dreams,
• Freedom from guilt,
• Hitches in fulfilling your assignment,
• Free from emotional pain and scars.
• Most importantly, God is able to trust you with more assignments.

So it is important to consistently fill your mind with the right materials and surround yourself with the right company that uphold the value of sexual purity because the mind is the strongest sexual organ that exist and can be influenced negatively or positively in this area.
God's will for every individual is very simple. God's word is His will so His instructions as conveyed in the word is his will for every believer.
In the word, we would find amidst others that it is God's will that we walk in love, consistently grow in our relationship with Him, abide in Him (John 15:5) and become more like Christ daily. Its also His will that we pursue His assignments for our lives as He leads us on the Journey of life (Ephesians 2:10) It is His will that we live truly meaningful, fulfilled and successful kingdom lives, impacting as many lives as we can for His glory.

MY ADVICE FOR EVERY YOUNG LADY READING THIS WOULD BE;

• DEVELOP A GENUINE FELLOWSHIP AND STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
Your relationship with God is your most important asset and relationship in life. He desires a relationship with you. Its in your relationship with God that your life begins, takes shape, gains direction and a clear cut meaning. Consecrate your life to the Lord, study and meditate on the word, go on personal retreats, pray, find out what God says about you, your future and your role in His divine agenda. Get to know God for yourself. In my book "In Love with ABBA", you'd find more secrets on developing and sustaining a rewarding walk with God.

Learn to be led by the Holy Spirit and follow His leading.
As a single lady learning how to be led by the Holy Spirit and following His direction is God's will for you (Rom 8:14) and the real secret of success. This is one skill that would help you Presently and through the several seasons of your life. Life without the direction of the Holy Spirit could be very frustrating.

• DISCOVER YOURSELF AND INVEST IN YOUR GROWTH.
Get to know yourself, what are your strengths and weaknesses, what makes you tick, what values do you cherish?, what are your dreams, etc Improve on the areas that are a concern to you and consistently invest in developing your mind.

• DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE.
Without purpose, life would be void of fulfillment. Your purpose is really not about you, its actually about what God wants to do through you if you let Him. Our primary purpose is to be like Jesus but our specific purpose (assignment) is unique to us and its birthed out of submission to our primary purpose. In addition to my initial points, Spend time uncovering your passion, listen to your dissatisfaction, volunteer and serve others, as you do this it would become clear to you what assignment is. If you have discovered yours, be consistent in fulfilling God’s call. You can read more about this in my book "This Purpose Thing".

• BUILD THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIPS.
(Get in the right tribe).
We were not designed to go through life alone and each person has a unique spice they bring into your life and journey either as a coach, teacher, spiritual leader, colleague, mentor, etc. Although there are seasons of separation, however, there are specific people assigned to walk your journey with you at different seasons of your life. Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit when it comes to the different relationships in your life, invest in the right friendships/relationships, honour people, relate with them in love and pray for the relationships in your life.

• KNOW THE RIGHT QUALITIES TO LOOK OUT FOR IN A SPOUSE.
As ladies, it's no news that whoever you choose to marry would have a significant impact on your life. Read the right materials on romantic relationships, marriage and the right process. Get to know the right qualities to look out for in a spouse, know what you want and want the right things.
